Andy began his career with Copolymer (previously (DSM) in Baton Rouge, LA In 1984 as the manager for Midwest accounts. Through his initiative Copolymer’s sales revenue increased from 12 million 26 million in two years. This was accomplished through a focus on strong technical support, developing formulations specific to the processing demands of the individual customer.
In1986 Andy moved to ChemRep in Palatine, IL again as manager of the Midwest territory. ChemRep is a small representative and distributor servicing the Rubber, Plastic and Adhesive industries. During Andy’s 4 years with ChemRep they experienced a 5 fold increase in revenue from 1.2 million to 5.6 million. During his time there he was involved with warehousing, order processing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, sales, marketing and obtaining new lines for expansion. Some of the companies represented were: Advance Resin Inc., Dwight Products Inc., Grieve Corporation Inc., J.M. Huber Inc., Witco Corp., International Sulfur, Moriyama Corp., Oyster Shell Products, Polymeric Inc., Raytheon Corp., RubiChem Inc., Silmix Inc., Thermal Care/Mayer, Vulcan Materials Corp., Zochem, and Polar Minerals.
In 1990 Andy formed ABCHEM with a vision to provide technical sales as opposed to commodity sales. ABCHEM is committed to a hands on approach to enhance its relationship with customers, and to provide guidance and support before and after the sales. They strive to maintain a call frequency every 6-8 weeks.
